“A married couple came in today to order invitations for his 80th birthday. He waited at the table while his wife and I worked together to pick just the right design. She shared their story with me. The two were sweethearts in high school but ended up going their separate ways after graduating. Years later, when she was in her late 50’s and widowed, she and her old sweetheart met again by chance. He told her he remained single all these years because he had always and would always love only her. They went out on one date and . . . were married shortly thereafter. They’ve been married for more than 20 years now!
