Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments have been making memories to last a lifetime since their debut more than 40 years ago. The first release in 1973 of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments featured six glass ball ornaments and 12 yarn figures which were all unique in their designs, dated, and available for a limited time. It is this innovation that paved the way for the success of the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Collection. Since the first release, Hallmark has introduced more than 8,000 keepsakes in more than 100 different series (collection of ornaments with the same theme).
Some people purchase Keepsakes as gifts because they love the design – or know someone on their list will. For others, the series have become highly collectible. The longest running series to date, Frosty Friends, made its debut in 1980, featuring a fun and friendly Eskimo and his winter pals.
