Charities: Running for a Cure

Our customers are all very special to us.  In fact, they inspire us daily to keep reinvesting in our local communities. In September, 2013, one of our loyal customers, Jennifer Parthum, approached us to support her 8^th year running in the Dana Farber Marathon to raise money for cancer research.  Prior to the marathon, Jennifer had raced more than 144 miles and raised more than $30,000 for innovative cancer research.

For three days the following month, a portion of the proceeds from Alex and Ani sales at our Londonderry location went directly to help Jennifer and her wonderful cause.  The funds went to Boston’s Dana Farber Cancer Institute, which provides leading medical care for children and adults with cancer.  In addition to treating and caring for people with cancer, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute has made dozens of medical breakthroughs and continues to be a leading force in the field of cancer research.  These services rely heavily on donations.

Jennifer Parthum ran in Manchester’s half marathon on November 3.  We are so proud to see our Jennifer going out there to make a difference, and we are thankful to her for allowing us to participate in her fundraising efforts.
